College Scholarship & Financial Aid Resources
More times than not, finances become the determining factor in where a student goes for college. It is our hope, though, that students and families will explore all opportunities and options rather than assigning themselves to a particular location based on funds alone.
There are hundreds of scholarship awards available to students who are willing to research, plan, and apply for various award opportunities. There is no one source that will help students and families pay for higher education. It is our hope that the resources provide within this section will help you begin your financial aid research and guide you through the often lengthy and tedious process of acquiring aid.
While we will post scholarship opportunities as we become aware, you must contact the schools that you are considering and request a financial aid packet which details school-specific awards at their institution.
Focus on the associations that you and your family maintain. Many grant and scholarship programs are available through churches, fraternal organizations or clubs, parents' employers, professional associations and civic groups. Church and employer programs may have matching programs that will certainly increase award amounts.
As with college admissions, financial aid awards are limited. Begin your research EARLY to avoid missing out on various programs and awards.
