Calling all athletes! Our sports camps typically operate during the morning and end around noon. Rockhurst serves a make-it-yourself sandwich bar lunch in the cafeteria for $5 per day from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Pay as you go, or bring your own lunch.

Processing 2D: Intro Programming in Graphics & Animation
This coding session is a great first look at the topics we cover in our high school credit course, Intro to Computer Science. We take a look at the coding environment, language, and processes familiar to so many of our high school students. The context is animation and computer graphics. Consider this an Intro to the Intro to Computer Science course, suitable for students going into 5th grade or higher.

$180 - Two Weeks, June 5 - 15, Monday - Thursday, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Grades 5 - 12, boys and girls

Raspberry Pi + Minecraft
Our Minecraft Raspberry Pi class will teach kids to use a programming language to control the world inside of a popular video game.  They’ll learn the basic elements of Computer Science inside a game that they probably already play.  When the course is over the Raspberry Pi hardware (a small low cost computer), is theirs to take home to continue play.  All they will need at home to use the Raspberry Pi is an HDMI monitor, and USB Mouse and Keyboard. This course is led primarily by Kendall Bingham, adjunct professor of computer science at UMKC and J.W. Clark, Computer Science faculty at Rockhurst High School.

$240 (includes Raspberry Pi Model B & Micro SD Card - student keeps this hardware) - Two weeks, June 19 - 29, Monday - Thursday, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Grades 5 - 12, boys and girls
