A retreat more than 20 years old at Rockhurst High School, with a rich tradition, the Kairos Retreat is a three day experience of Christian community and sacraments. Kairos translate to “God’s time” and it is here where the student is led to listen to the ways in which God has been working in his life through his loved ones, friends and lived experiences. This is a powerful opportunity for spiritual conversion for many students. A series of talks are given by Rockhurst student leaders and adults. Mass and confession are important activities offered on this retreat. Six Kairos Retreats are offered each year. Students can choose their preferred dates on a first come-first serve basis. See school calendar for details. All juniors participate in this experience.
Attention Junior Parents: All members of the junior class will participate in the Kairos retreat this year. This three-day, two-night experience, Wednesday afternoon through Friday afternoon, will have six offerings (dates below) from which your son may choose. We ask you to please help guide your son as to which date works best for his and your family’s schedule.
The retreat takes place at Franciscan Prayer Center in Independence, MO, and the retreat fee is included in your tuition.
