A Rockhurst Education

Education at The Rock

An education from Rockhurst High School is unlike any other in the Kansas City area.  A holistic, faith-based education, in the best traditions of the Catholic Church and the Jesuit Order, is at the heart of the student experience.  From what is taught, to how we teach it, everything at Rockhurst is geared to preparing young men for college and as leaders for the rest of their lives as men of competence, conscience, and compassion.

Well Rounded, Well Respected

The rigorous college preparatory curriculum is designed to challenge even the best student and bring out the best in every graduate. It requires mastering a broad course of studies, but also forming good study habits, stimulating critical thinking and developing the writing, speaking and visual skills necessary for the challenges of today’s world — and tomorrow’s.

Educating Excellence

As Kansas City’s Jesuit high school, Rockhurst nurtures excellence in our students, in both the mind and the heart. Service to others, participatory learning, and the development of Christian leaders guides every aspect of the school's curricular and co-curricular activities.
